Officials at Google has announced today that the company is going to launch two new flagships smartphones in the last quarter of 2017. These phones will be Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel XL.
The phones will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835, 4 GB RAM, and at least 64 GB of internal memory. The event can also be watched live on the Internet via Google’s YouTube channel. The technical details of the two devices, however, seem to have already leaked.
Venture Beat and Android Authority, report that the premium smartphones Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are powered by Qualcomm’s current Snapdragon 835 flagship processor. The standard equipment also includes IP67 certified enclosures that are dust and water resistant.
The sources of these two blogs also confirm the pressure-sensitive framework called Active Edge. The feature has been taken over by Google’s partner HTC. This feature will allow phone users to start Google assistant or open an app like the camera.
One advantage of HTC Edge Sense technology is that a smartphone could be operated with gloves as well as under adverse weather conditions such as snow or rain, which is usually a problem for capacitive buttons.
The most significant difference between pixel 2 and pixel 2 XL is the display size. In the larger XL variant, Google is to put on a 6-inch panel in QHD + resolution with an aspect ratio of 18: 9.
It follows the trend towards frameless displays, with the leaked screenshots of alleged press images still showing a narrow frame around the screen. The Pixel 2 is, however, content with a full-HD display with a diagonal of 5 inches in the classic 16: 9 format.
These state of the art smartphones will be based on Google’s sophisticated camera technology (Camera lines Processors). Up till now, only Apple’s iPhone 8, 8 plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 have that innovative camera expertise level. Both models will have a 12-megapixel camera on the back.
The internal memory of these devices will be either 64 or 128 GB in size. It can be expanded with a Micro SD memory card slot. Google, however, does not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. They obviously had to give way to the front-facing stereo speakers on their upcoming smartphones.
Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL support the electronic SIM card eSIM. The pixel 2 XL should also have a 3520 mAh battery, while the battery size of the pixel 2 should be around 2700 mAh.
The Google Pixel2 will cost around 649 $, and the Pixel 2 XL will be available at the expense of 849 $, with (64 GB of memory). The launching date of pixel 2 is 19th October 2017 & Pixel 2 XL will be available in the mid of November 2017. Users have to pay $100 extra if they go for 128 GB variant.
